Creation Of Man
The final and highest creature God created on earth was man. As the crown of God's creation, man was placed by God as ruler over His earthly creation. Man was created to glorify His Maker in a special manner.
In Genesis 1 and 2, the specialness of man's creation is indicated in several ways. Only in the case of man do we read of:
1. His creation proceeding from a special counsel of the Triune God. Before creating man, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit took special counsel together. "And God said, Let Us make man" (Genesis 1 :26a).
The story on the following page illustrates how this special meeting testifies of the importance of the coming event.

In Genesis 1:26, how is God spoken of as being both singular and plural? How does this testify of God's Triune Being?
