The following chart presents the basic timeline of postrnillennial views regarding the events of the last days.
Postmillennial views avoid the premillennial problems connected with Christ's leaving heaven and returning to reign on earth for a thousand years before the end of time and the difficulties associated with two or more different resurrections and judgments. Postmillennialism, however, still retains the following problems of premillennial thought (as stated previously in the premillennial section of this chapter).
1. The picturing of God's kingdom as a physical rather than
spiritual kingdom, and
2. The viewing of Christ's kingdom as something to come in
the future rather than something that is here presently.
In addition, postmillennial thought presents the following biblical difficulties as exemplified by the scriptural references quoted.
