MY GOD IS NOT DEAF
My God is not deaf. He hears when I whisper. I don’t need to shout to be heard. My God is not deaf. He hears what I long for, And that’s what I’m told in His word. He told the winds “Peace.” He told the waves, “Still.” He was not in earthquake or fire. My God is not deaf, He hears every heartbeat and tells me He loves me, His child. My God is not deaf, I don’t need to rouse Him. He’s never away, or asleep. My God is not deaf, His ear’s always list’ning He’s promised His vigil to keep. He’s said in His word That He is the LORD Who’ll keep me by day and by night. My God is not deaf, He hears every whisper. I’m safe, for He keeps me, His child. D. Rankin 4/11/01
